ITEM 4 - Pre-Participation Requirements
You must do the following prior to commencing the Activity:
(a) pay the Deposit to the Organiser;
(b) arrange your travel to and from the Activity;
(c) arrange your own travel insurance and personal/health insurances;
(d) advise us of any dietary requirements, medical conditions, and/or allergies;
(e) pack clothing appropriate for the weather;
(f) pack your own medication; and
(g) complete and return to the Organiser any forms, documents, and id required by the Organiser.
(h) organise your own food.
(i) pay the full cost of Activity by the 1st of September 2026.
ITEM 5 - Activity Overview
The Participant acknowledges that participation in the Schoolies For Jesus event “The Activity,” may involve a range of activities including, but not limited to:
1. ACCOMMODATION & ONSITE LIVING
Staying in cabins, villas, tents or campsites
Shared accommodation with other participants
Use of communal bathrooms and amenities, electrical points, lighting equipment
Movement around the accommodation site
Room checks and curfews
Packing, unpacking and storage of belongings
Setting up, occupying and dismantling tents, swags or temporary accommodation;
2. FAITH-BASED & PROGRAM ACTIVITIES
Group worship sessions (music, singing, standing, movement, dancing)
Prayer gatherings (individual and group prayer)
Bible teaching, preaching, devotionals
Small group discussions
Ministry moments, altar calls or response times
Quiet reflection or solitude times
Faith-based discussions and pastoral conversations
3. RECREATIONAL & FREE-TIME ACTIVITIES (ONSITE)
Walking around the resort or campground
Use of shared outdoor spaces
Informal games (ball games, frisbee, card games, etc.)
Board games and social activities
Creative activities (art, journaling, music)
Night activities or gatherings
Sports or physical activities (organised or informal)
4. WATER-BASED ACTIVITIES
Swimming in resort or campground pools
Swimming in the ocean or beach areas
Wading or playing in shallow water
Beach activities (walking, games, sand activities)
Exposure to surf conditions, tides and currents
Wet surfaces around pools and amenities
5. BEACH, COASTAL & NATURAL ENVIRONMENT EXPOSURE

ITEM 6 - Inclusions and Exclusions
What is included:
a. Accommodation at Darlington Beach Holiday Resort for 6 nights, 7 days
b. Activities organised by Youth For Christ Australia
c. Resort facilities and activities
d. Support team
What is NOT included:
a. All meals and snacks
b. Transport to and from event
c. Travel insurance, personal insurance, etc.
TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. INTERPRETATION
1.1. In this Agreement, the following definitions apply unless the context makes it clear that a definition is not intended to apply:
“Confidential Information” means all information obtained by a Party in the course of performing this Agreement;
“Misconduct” includes, but is not limited to:
(a) non-compliance with any rules, policies, codes of conduct, terms and conditions, or lawful directions of any third party associated with or providing facilities for the Activity, including but not limited to resorts, accommodation providers, transport providers, or venue operators;
(b) material non-compliance with statutory requirements, including relevant occupational health and safety laws;
(c) material non-compliance with anti- discrimination and harassment laws;
(d) unauthorised representation which may damage the reputation or business of either of the parties;
“Organiser” means the entity specified in Item 1 of the Schedule and where the context so requires, includes its employees, agents, and/or subcontractors;
“Personal Information” means information or an opinion (including information or an opinion forming part of a database) whether true or not, and whether recorded in a material form or not, about an individual whose identity is apparent, or can reasonably be ascertained, from the information or opinion;
“Cost” means the amount payable by the Participant to the Organiser for the Activity which unless otherwise specified, is GST exclusive;
“Participant” means the entity specified in Item 2 of the Schedule, and where the context so requires, includes its employees, agents, and/or subcontractors;
1.2. If this Agreement expressly or impliedly binds more than one person then it will bind such persons jointly and severally.
1.3. If a word is defined, another part of speech of that word has a corresponding meaning.
2. ACTIVITY
2.1. The Activity is detailed in Item 5 of the Schedule and details of Inclusions and Exclusions are noted in Item 6 of the Schedule.
2.2. The Inclusions and Exclusions, Activity Cost and Pre-Activity Requirements are not negotiable.
3. PARTICIPANT OBLIGATIONS
3.1. In addition to any other obligations under this Agreement, the Participant will:
(a) ensure all Pre-Activity Requirements as noted in Item 4 are complied with prior to commencing the Activity;
(b) provide consent and cooperate with any reasonable requests for photography and videography connected directly or indirectly to this Activity and subsequent use in any promotional, social media or internal purposes, unless otherwise notified to the Organiser 30 days prior to the commencement date of the Activity;
(c) at all times act courteously to the Organiser, other Participants and any third parties connected directly or indirectly to the Activity, and not do anything which would harm the reputation of any of them;
(d) conduct themselves in a manner that is pleasant and respectful, and not harmful, offensive, harassing, aggressive, or intrusive to other Participants, unwanted, inappropriate, sexually aggressive, including verbal, physical, digital or online conduct, the Organiser or any other third party connected directly or indirectly to the Activity;
(e) accept that other Participants, the Organisers and other third parties connected to the Activity may offer suggestions and feedback during the Activity, and this does not constitute professional advice, nor is the Participant required to take the suggestion or feedback onboard or change any patterns or behaviours;
(f) remain in any accommodation, cabin, tent, or room assigned by the Organiser, unless the Organiser’s written consent to move or change to another accommodation, cabin, tent, or room is obtained;
(g) not enter another participant’s accommodation, cabin, tent, and room, without the Organiser’s consent;
(h) follow the Organiser’s emergency instructions, avoid areas nominated by the Organiser as restricted, not misuse any equipment supplied or provided by the Organiser or a resort, accommodation provider, transport provider, or venue operator; and
(i) will not bring, possess, supply, or consume any or all of the following:
i. alcohol;
ii. drugs or illegal substances;
iii. vapes, cigarettes, or tobacco products;
iv. weapons;
v. fireworks; and
vi. any dangerous or banned items.
3.2. The Participant will also:
(a) take responsibility for their own safety and personal items before, on transit to, during and when leaving the Activity and any Related Activities connected directly or indirectly to the Main Activity; make their own decisions in relation to obtaining personal and travel insurances and accept all risks associated with engaging in the Activity or any Related Activities directly or indirectly associated with the Main Activity; and
(b) warrant that the Participant will not hold any person liable for providing suggestions or feedback, and will ensure they engage professional legal, financial and/or business advisors and/or seek professional medical and psychological treatment/advice where necessary.
4. PAYMENT AND THIRD-PARTY PROVIDERS
4.1. The Participant must make payment of all costs of the Activity upon signing up to the Activity. No payment plans are available.
4.2. Certain third-party providers will be used for processing payments and providing supplies for the Activity which is not negotiable for the Organiser. As such, the Participant accepts that they will be liable for covering such fees as part of the costs of the Activity.
4.3. The Participant may have the opportunity to purchase goods and services from third party providers, and in the event they accept any offers, this is a contract directly between the Participant and that third party to which the Organiser is not involved nor liable for in any way.
5. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
5.1. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the Organiser will own the Intellectual Property Rights in any materials, content and information created, produced and provided by the Organiser in providing the Activity.
5.2. The Participant undertakes that it will not, and will procure that another third party does not, use any intellectual property and/or materials belonging to the Organiser or a third party engaged in the Activity, or any purpose other than intended in the Activity, whether for commercial gain, personal purposes or charitable reasons, without first seeking that party’s express written consent and in the event such consent is given, providing full credit for the works to that person.
5.3. The Participant understands and agrees that breaching this clause has the likely impact of causing damage to the owner of the intellectual property and/or materials, and/or may create confusion in the market, and subsequently, this restraint is reasonable and not excessive in protecting the Organiser’s and/or third party’s intellectual property rights.
Each Party must not, and must ensure that its officers, employees, agents and sub-contractors do not, use or disclose any Confidential Information, Personal Information or any information shared by the Organiser, other Participants or a third party during the Activity, without that other Party’s consent, other than for the purposes of performing this Agreement.
7. LIABILITY
7.1. The Participant understands that emotional issues or confronting information may be unearthed and/or discussed during the Activity and the Organiser and other guest speakers, along with other Participants, may offer advice and/or suggestions. The Participant understands that any such advice is merely guidance and does not constitute medical, legal, financial, business or psychological advice, nor does it replace the Participant’s need to obtain professional advice if necessary, and the person giving such guidance cannot be held liable for their comments.
7.2. The Participant holds harmless the Organiser where the Participant is in breach of this Agreement.
7.3. The Participant holds harmless and indemnifies the Organiser where the Participant has taken advice from a third party in breach of their warranty given in clause 3.2(b) of this Agreement and for any act or omission of a third party whether directly or directly connected to the Activity, and whether or not introduced to the Participant by the Organiser or another person.
7.4. The Participant indemnifies the Organiser and its officers, employees and agents (those indemnified) from and against any claim, action, demand, damage, loss, liability, cost, charge, expense, outgoing, fine or payment which any of those indemnified pays, suffers, incurs or is liable for arising out of or in connection with the Activity provided to the Participant, or breach of this Agreement.
7.5. Notwithstanding any other provision of this Agreement, the liability of a Party arising under and/or in connection with this Agreement will exclude any liability for indirect or consequential loss.
7.6. To the maximum extent permitted by Law, the aggregate liability of the Organiser in respect of any causes of action arising under or in connection with this Agreement, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), statute, equity or otherwise, is limited to an amount equal to $100 Australian Dollars.
7.7. The Participant acknowledges that any resort, accommodation or venue provider shall retain full responsibility and liability for any loss, damage, injury, claim or demand arising out of, or in connection with: the condition, use, operation or management of any resort, accommodation, or venue provider-owned or controlled premises, facilities or equipment, including without limitation any pool, accommodation, cabins, campsites and associated infrastructure.
7.8. The Organiser shall be solely responsible for, and shall bear all liability arising from the Activity, that are directly planned, coordinated or supervised by the Organiser.
8. TERMINATION
8.1. The Organiser may terminate this Agreement by written notice to the Participant effective immediately if the Participant:
(a) having given 2 business days’ notice if for any reason, including but not limited to, safety- or politically-based, it is not considered in the Participant’s or the Organiser’s best interest for the Participant to engage in the Activity (in the Organiser’s sole discretion); or
(b) engages in Misconduct which is not capable of remedy;
(c) creates or is reasonably likely to create a risk to the health or safety of any person, or to property; or
(d) where having the Participant engage further with the Activity may cause physical, financial, reputational or other harm to the Organiser, the Participant or a third party.
8.2. The Participant may terminate this Agreement by written notice to the Organiser effective immediately if the Participant is mentally or physically unwell to the extent that they would not be able to travel or reasonably participate in the Activity, or where their illness would impact on any other Participant’s enjoyment of the Activity.
9. DEFAULT
9.1. In addition to termination under clause 8 of this Agreement, the Organiser may do any of the following for any reason, including but not limited to, safety or politically based, it is not considered in the Participant’s or the Organiser’s best interest for the Participant to engage in the Activity (in the Organiser’s sole discretion):
(a) suspend or remove the Participant from involvement in the Activity (including any session then in progress);
(b) require the Participant to leave any premises, facility, or venue associated with the Activity;
(c) act in accordance with the Christian Safe Ministry and NSW Child Safe Standards; and
(d) contact with the Participant’s guardian or parents (if applicable).
9.2. The Organiser may, in its sole discretion, prohibit the Participant from booking or participating in any future activities or programs conducted by the Organiser.
10. REFUNDS & TRANSFERS
10.1. The Organiser cannot allow transfers of the Participant’s place in the Activity as this is an invite only Activity.
10.2. Given the Organiser is required to pay for the accommodation and other items for the Activity, which are non-refundable, there is limited scope for the Organiser to provide refunds, subject to a refund required in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law.
10.3. Where the Participant terminates this Agreement in writing to the Organiser upon 30 days written notice from paying the Deposit and prior to the 3 April 2026, the Participant will be entitled to a refund of any amounts refundable to the Organiser in accordance with clause 13.
10.4. Where the Participant terminates this Agreement in writing to the Organiser on or after the 4 April 2026, no refund is payable. However, the Participant may send another person in accordance with clause 13.5.
10.5. The Organiser recommends the Participant obtain travel and medical insurance to mitigate any loss they may suffer that is not recoverable.
11.BOOKING,DEPOSIT ANDCANCELLATION
11.1 The Participant is unable to engage in the Activity until the Participant has paid the Deposit in full.
11.2 The parties acknowledge and agree that the Deposit secures the Participant’s nominated accommodation and/or group as offered by the Organiser, subject to availability as determined by the Organiser.
11.3 The Participant may cancel their engagement in the Activity for any reason within 30 days from the date they paid the Deposit, provided that such written notice of cancellation occurs on or before 3 April 2026.
11.4 Where the Participant has complied with clause 11.3, the Organiser shall refund the Deposit to the Participant in full within a reasonable time.
11.5 On and from the 4 April 2026, the Deposit shall become non-refundable to the extent permitted under any law.
11.6 Despite clause 11.5, the Participant may transfer their engagement in the Activity to another person (“Substitute Participant”), provided that:
(a) the Organiser is notified in writing of the proposed transfer;
(b) the Substitute Participant completes all documentation required by, and to the satisfaction of, the Organiser; and
(c) The Substitute Participant pays all applicable fees and outstanding amounts in full.
11.7 If the Participant wishes to cancel their engagement in the Activity at any time, they must notify the Organiser in writing as soon as reasonably practicable (“Cancellation Notice”).
11.8 Upon receiving a Cancellation Notice and if the Organiser agrees, this Agreement is terminated and the Organiser may make an offer to any other Participant on any waitlist maintained by the Organiser for the Activity.
12. ENTIRE AGREEMENT
This Agreement constitutes the entire Agreement between the Parties and supersedes all prior representations, Agreements, statements and understandings, whether verbal or in writing, in relation to its subject matter.
13. RELATIONSHIP OF PARTIES
Nothing in this Agreement gives rise to any relationship of agency, partnership, employment or otherwise between the Parties.
14. SEVERABILITY
If any part of this Agreement is void or voidable, then that part is severed from this Agreement but without affecting the continued operation of the remainder of this Agreement.
15. VARIATIONS
The provisions of this Agreement will not be varied either in law or in equity except by Agreement in writing between the Parties
16. APPLICABLE LAW
The laws of the State of Queensland govern this Agreement and the Parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that State.
17. ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
17.1 The Participant and their parents and or guardians acknowledge and agree that:
(a) the Activity is carried out in accordance with the Christian Safe Ministry and NSW Child Safe Standards;
(b) That under 18-year-olds and over 18-year-olds may be accommodated together where participants have chosen to attend as a group or where it is not possible to separate over 18-year-olds from under 18-year-olds in cabins for individual attendees.
(c) The Activity is Christian and faith-based in nature, and includes content, values, teaching, prayer, worship and practices consistent with Biblical teaching and the mission of Youth for Christ Australia Ltd.
(a) 17- and 18-year-old persons may be accommodated together;
(d) the Activity is covered by public liability insurance but excludes:
i. personal items;
ii. personal travel issues;
iii. medical expenses;
iv. injuries from unsafe behaviour; and
i. any pre-existing conditions of the Participant.
18. PARENT AND/OR LEGAL GUARDIAN
18.1 Where the Participant is a minor, the following applies:
(a) the Participant’s parent or legal guardian hereby consents to the Participant’s voluntary participation in the Activity organised by the Organiser, including all activities reasonably incidental to it;
(b) the Participant’s parent or legal guardian acknowledges that participation in the Activity may involve inherent risks, including but not limited to physical injury, illness, or emotional distress which may arise from, or in connection with, travel, accommodation, group activities, or the conduct of other participants;
(c) the Participant’s parent or legal guardian acknowledges they have read this Agreement and agree to be bound by the terms of this Agreement on their own behalf and on behalf of the Participant, to the extent permitted by law;
(d) the Participant’s parent or legal guardian acknowledges that the Participant is required to comply with all reasonable directions, rules, codes of conduct, and safety requirements issued by the Organiser or its representatives during the Activity and understand that failure by the Participant to comply may result in disciplinary action, including suspension, removal from the Activity, or being sent home at my expense;
(e) the Participant’s parent or legal guardian acknowledges and agrees that the Organiser may, in its sole discretion, determine that it is not in the best interests of the Participant or others for the Participant to continue in the Activity and may require the Participant to be removed or returned home;
(f) In the event of illness or injury, the Participant’s parent or legal guardian authorises the Organiser to obtain medical, hospital, or ambulance treatment for the Participant as reasonably necessary and further agrees to be responsible for all associated costs not covered by insurance;
(g) to the extent permitted by law, the Participant’s parent or legal guardian agrees to indemnify the Organiser against loss or damage arising from the Participant’s breach of this Agreement or wilful misconduct;
(h) the Participant’s parent or legal guardian confirms that all relevant medical, behavioural, and support information relating to the Participant has been fully disclosed to the Organiser and will notify the Organiser of any changes prior to or during the Activity; and
(i) the Participant’s parent or legal guardian acknowledges that the Organiser operates in accordance with applicable child safety laws, standards, and policies, including child-safe and safeguarding requirements.
19. SURVIVAL
Clauses 7 to 19 will remain in full force and effect following the expiry or termination of this Agreement.

This is a drug-free, alcohol-free, vape-free event – not to restrict you, but to protect the freedom, joy, and encounter God wants for you this week.
We believe God’s way is better, and creating a safe, holy environment helps you experience the fullness of what He has for you.Do NOT bring:
Alcohol
Illegal drugs or substances
Vapes, cigarettes, or tobacco products
Weapons, fireworks or anything dangerous
Do NOT engage in:
Bullying, harassment, intimidation, disrespect, physical fights, or aggressive behaviour
Damaging or misusing personal or resort property or facilities
If someone brings these items or engages in these behaviours, they may be asked to leave the event for the safety and wellbeing of everyone (with no refund).
We also ask that you keep in mind that you’ll be in a shared environment with people of different faith-backgrounds and both sexes. Out of respect for one another, we encourage modest, non-provocative clothing. Let’s honour each other in the way we show up.
